New boiler unit in MEL

Our company proudly announces that we proceeded to an investment of 1.500.000 euros for the construction of a new boiler 22tn/h for the production of steam using pellet. The new boiler started its operation in August 2020. Thus, the entire steam production unit was completer, which consists of five boilers which produce all the steam needed for the production operation of MEL. The total investment for the construction and operation of the biomass boiler complex, exceeded the amount of 4.500.000 euros, it was subsidized by European funds and made it possible to MEL to stop using heavy oil after 52 years. We prove in practice that we are always environmentally proactive and we have as a primary concern the continues improvement of our environmental footprint, in order for MEL to become an even more “green” industry.
